Yoga to nourish your body & soul.

Authentic, Achievable, Accessible Classes & Trauma-Informed Yoga.

Welcome! My name is Maryam. I am a firm believer that you do not need to be of a certain race or religion, wear fancy fitness clothes or be able to fold into a pretzel to do Yoga. All you need to do is show up on your mat and open yourself up to your practice.

Are you looking for a yoga class where you feel included and represented?

Do you want to incorporate yoga into your life but aren’t sure how to make poses work for you?

In my classes:

  • My Approach

Yoga is treated as a sacred spiritual practice that can enhance your relationship with your higher power. No matter your background, I help give you somatic tools to further your personal spiritual journey.

  • You Will Feel That You Belong

I do my best to make my classes as accessible as possible, especially for those who have traditionally been excluded from Western wellness spaces. Whether that means using props, giving variations or holding space for you, my main goal as a teacher is to help you feel welcome, safe, supported and included.

  • Personalised touch

Whether you are in a group/online/individual class, a detailed history will be taken to ensure that all your needs are met & that you get the best out of your yoga practice. Class sizes are also kept small to ensure that you receive the attention you deserve.

  • Extra Touches

Every attempt is made to help your senses feel at ease. Venues are bright & cozy and the use of scent, music and a warm drink are always offered.

  • Communication is key

I offer instruction in English, French, Gujarati, Urdu & Hindi.

  • Trauma-Informed

All sessions, be it group-based or private, are at a minimum trauma-sensitive. This means, first and foremost, the utmost care is taken to ensure that you feel safe and heard.

Trauma-Informed Yoga

Trauma-Informed Yoga is a therapeutic approach to Yoga that incorporates both modern psychology and ancient Yogic practises to help you recover from any ongoing struggle or trauma you may be facing.

It can be especially beneficial for those of us who come from the ancestral land of Yoga and are looking for therapeutic tools that incorporate both the Eastern & Western ways of healing.

If this resonates, I invite you to learn more about this transformative practice & how it could help you.
